A personal Olive tree: adopt it.

In our Country, the Olive Trees and the Grapevines are the symbols of our history and our traditions and the products of their fruits are the protagonist of our food culture.

Among our hills in the Chianti region, thanks to a perfect natural soil for their cultivation, you can still find beautiful olive trees dating back to more than 100 years ago. The latest commercial trend, though, is not to encourage their cultivation in favour, instead, of modern plantations of vineyards that are more manageable for commercial purposes.

Infact it is not possible to even try to obtain a production of olive oil on an industrial scale from these precious and ancient olive trees and their destiny is to slowly disappear. Let’s protect these old trees together.

For 10 years

  • the product obtained by the olives picked from you olive tree will be shipped to you every year in a personalized package
  • you will periodically receive photos of your olive tree to keep you updates on its growth, its maintenance and its production
  • you will receive a certificate of adoption and a plate with your name will be placed on your olive tree

10 year-long adoption

Thanks to your oneoff contribution, we will take care of your personal olive tree all year round by providing for pruning, by harvesting its olives in late October and by having them pressed soon after they have been picked to produce your share of olive oil (about 2/4 kgs per year).

History

As with any adoption you, will follow the progress of your precious olive tree in terms of growth, maintenance and production.

Wonderful paradise
We were lucky enough to spend 2 night in villa I Barronci. We needed to recharge after a few days travelling around the Florence, Siena, Chianti region. The hotel is really lovely. The decor is simple and elegant. The rooms are clean and relaxing. The pool is a perfect place to relax. All of the staff we encountered were excellent, friendly and helpful. The food was really good, we had lunch and 2 evening meals there. The wine is also really excellent and it has a lovely manageable wine list. If you are looking for a place to base yourself while visiting Florence and the surrounding areas you will not find much better than villa I barronci. We will be back ! "
